Connecticut governor signs Emily’s Law

emilys lawConnecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy signed into law restrictions to require that boat operators be at least 16 years old when towing a person, and that they will have passed safe-towing education and a safe-boating course. The law, which takes effect Oct. 1, exempts those who are currently under age 16 but who have obtained a safe-boating certificate. Connecticut’s minimum boater operator age remains 12, with education.
